AAW Artist Reception & Awards

The exhibit includes works by AAW member artists in a variety of media. Many of the artists will be on hand during the opening reception Saturday December 20th when 6 "Best In" awards totaling $1,200.00 will be presented.

This year's juror is Julie Francois, the Art Bridges Fellow at the Mattatuck Museum, where she works within the curatorial department to advance Art Bridges initiatives and foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the institution. Her work centers on expanding public accessibility and deepening community engagement through thoughtful exhibition development and interpretation.

As a graduate of Tufts University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Francois brings a deep passion for representational justice and socially engaged art from her practice to her curatorial vision.
