Description

Join us at Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust for poetry readings from the recently published "Finding Home" a book of poems inspired by the process of trying to remove invasive plants and restoring space and light for indigenous plants to thrive. The process unleashed creativity in Woodbury's poet laureate (2023-2024) and led her explore the connection between gardening and poetry. Joining Sandy is Dee Salomon, the Ungardener, and Heidi Cunnick, chair of the Cornwall Conservation Commission with practical advice on what each of us can do to rid our yards of invasive plants. Held at the Studio, 5 Church Hill Rd, Woodbury, CT 06798. Free to members, $6.00 non-members.
