Graphic Memoir at Artsplace

We’ll create a cartoon avatar of ourselves and tell personal stories through bite-sized 4-panel comics, exploring everything from childhood memories to life with our families, past and present. Each week, we’ll focus on a new prompt, while studying how cartoonist-memoirists use pacing, tone and lettering to enhance their narratives. By the end, you’ll have a collection of short, powerful stories and the skills to continue developing your own graphic memoir at your own pace. Instructor: Megan Jeffrey (5 days)
