LITCHFIELD JAZZ PRESENTS: A Valentine’s Celebration With Albert Rivera & Friends

 This January marks the beginning of Litchfield Performing Arts’ 45th Anniversary year , and the first show on that calendar of events drops February 13th at the Poli Club. It features Albert Rivera & Friends in a Valentine’s Celebration.

Albert  Rivera is a jazz star with Litchfield connections that go back more than two decades. He found Litchfield Jazz Camp when he was 15, and today is its Operations Director and one of the busiest horn players in New York. Add to this 150+ gigs a year around a busy teaching schedule, and you get the picture. Rivera appears on Festival stages around the country and draws sold-out houses every time he headlines Litchfield Jazz Presents at the Poli Club.

Albert will be joined for this Valentine’s show by pianist Alejandra Williams , drummer Ian Carroll, vocalist Anson Jones , and a special guest from Seoul South Korea, bassist Sean Pentland.  Pentland is currently touring the US with noted saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi introducing their upcoming release Windward. He returns in July to join the Litchfield Jazz Camp faculty and appear on opening night of the Litchfield Jazz Festival, July 24th.
