Tangular A. Irby, author of Pearl and Her Gee’s Bend Quilt and Preserving the Legacy: A Black Woman’s Journal to Faithfully Guide the Next Generation, will give a brief history of the Gee’s Bend quilts stitched by her grandmothers and how they served as a springboard inspiring families to explore and document their own unique histories. Copies of her books will be available for purchase & signing.
