‘The Harvest and the Resting’ Literary Open Mic at Woodbury Public Library Will Explore the Season

A literary open mic at Woodbury Public Library will explore the theme of “the harvest and the resting.” Samuel Gluck, David Bigham, and Edward Dzitko will be featured poets.

Gluck, a resident of Woodbury since 2022, previously published poems with the National Library of Poetry. Bigham, a Waterbury resident, is a poet for the love of it. The Glebe House and Gertrude Jekyll Garden have inspired a number of his poems. Edward Dzitko has been writing professionally and for fun since the 1970s. Ed is interested in baseball, football, history, photography, reading, writing, and local vineyards.

Woodbury Poet Laureate Sandy Carlson will moderate the open mic. Following the featured presentations, guests will be invited to read poetry or prose that they have written or that they like that is connected to the theme. All are welcome.
