Gleanings by the way - an artist's journey into a forgotten journal from 1849!

Hi everyone, I am working on prototyping my venture "Gleanings by the way" with the Connecticut Office for the Arts Evolve Cohort.

My project is to publish a primary source journal from 1849 with ties to CT that documents a trip from Newton NJ to Wisconsin and back.

I'd love to tell you all about it and hear what interests you the most!

​

My vision is to create and publish a book that incorporates illustrations with photos of the original document with transcribed text. It will include a map to help readers follow along the journey as well as tidbits about the locations & people visited along the way.
